2.5-Hour Wheel Throwing Pottery Class for Beginners: Discover the Art of Clay 🌱
Are you ready to dive into the world of pottery? This 2.5-hour wheel throwing class is perfect for absolute beginners who want to explore the art of shaping clay on the potter’s wheel. Whether you’re a creative soul looking for a new hobby or simply curious about ceramics, this hands-on experience will leave you inspired and smiling from ear to ear.
What to Expect:
- Professional Guidance: Learn from instructors who are not only potters but also passionate educators. You’ll be in great hands as they guide you through every step of the process.
- Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel: Start by understanding the basics—how to make and wedge your clay, center it on the wheel, and pull up the walls to create beautiful forms.
- Hands-On Practice: After watching a detailed demonstration, it’s your turn! Sit down at your own dedicated potter’s wheel and try your hand at creating a bowl or small cylinder or else. Don’t worry if it’s messy or wobbly—it’s all part of the learning journey!
- Tools & Techniques: Get acquainted with the variety of pottery tools we provide and discover their uses. From rib tools to wire cutters, you’ll learn how each one plays a role in refining your work.
- Sustainability Focus: At 1020° , we prioritize eco-friendly practices. We encourage you to focus on the process rather than the end result, allowing you to experiment freely. Unfired clay can be reused infinitely, making it an ideal material for sustainable creativity.

Ask for return price in case you’d like to come back after the workshop! One way should be max 100dh from Taghazout, try your bargaining skill.
Informal taxi
From Aourir round about and all the way to the studio (~5km), there are shuttles that can take you to the studio. Stop an old car by pointing your index finger down 👇 and ask for “Asserssif”. If the driver says ok (because Aourir splits in 2 directions and some go the other way), hop in until the Asserssif café, the studio is 50m further on your right. A seat is 3dh.
