This Taghazout Hike takes you to the upper backcountry mountains of this small fishing village that has grown to become Morocco’s number one surf spot. This area is blessed with some of the world’s most consistent surf, and surfers from across the globe pilgrimage here. But, it is known for more than just its beaches. The mountains behind, provide some of the most beautiful trails to explore nature and get a taste of rural Berber culture. In these villages, traditions have remained untouched, as until 1927, the tribes of Idaoutanane had lived outside the central power. After surfing and fishing, hiking Taghazout is now available!

Description
Shortly after we leave the busy Taghazout, our route runs along a dry river bed, a beautiful and tranquil site. We continue up through terraced fields until we make it to our first village, a simple way to absorb the rhythm of everyday Berber life.
We stop for a traditional picnic lunch at a panoramic site. Properly elevated and perfectly oriented, this site is perfect to rest for a while and enjoy peace and calm.
Later, we stroll along some rocky cliffs with an interesting surfaces before we reach the attraction of the village: Caves!
At the top, we stop for a moment to enjoy a superb view of the distant ocean and the villages below, before slowly descending towards the coastline, the end of our hike.

This is a Easy/ Moderate well-defined hike, suitable for everybody and no technical skills are required.
The trail is around 10 kilometers/ 6.2miles. The path along the river contains small stones and piles of rocks.
